Singing Classes – PLAN for Term 1 2021-2022
In light of recent government guidelines CÓRus is delighted to announce that we will be starting our live classes again on the week beginning the 4th of October 2021. However, as a result of these guidelines and ongoing issues concerning many of our original venues not being able to accommodate social distancing, which we in CÓRus want to continue implementing for the foreseeable future in order to keep our class members and staff as safe as possible, our classes will be delivered in a different format to the original CÓRus classes. They will be taking place in only four larger venues– St. Tiernan’s Community School (Balally, Dundrum), Good Shepherd NS (Whitehall Road, Churchtown) St Andrew’s NS (Edmondsbury Road, Lucan) and Malahide Community School (Church Rd, Malahide) with a capacity of up to 90 people per class socially distanced. Classes will be offered in these venues on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening and a Saturday morning. Please click here for a class schedule.
It must be emphasised that class numbers are limited and once the limit has been reached for a particular class, the option to pay for that class will be removed from our website and class members can try to book in for a different class if there are free spaces or contact the office to be put on a waiting list. Class members can also book in for an alternative class to their original if they so wish and if there are free spaces. N.B. during this current term it’s important to point out that members will not be able to visit other classes.
These measures have been put in place to allow us to manage our venues carefully – in relation to ventilation, social distancing, people management, mask wearing, proof of Covid immunity, hand hygiene as well as the use of carbon dioxide monitors so that we can all continue to enjoy our CÓRus classes into the future. Please note in line with current guidelines all staff and class members will be required to show proof of immunity (vaccinated or recovered) by showing their Covid digital/paper cert on signing in to their first class . Failure to provide proof of immunity will result in a class member being refused entry. Please also note that staff and class members will be required to wear a face mask during class (teachers will be exempt whilst teaching and remaining two meters distanced from the class). All of these safety measures will be continually reviewed and revised as prevailing Covid 19 conditions improve and we move through this and following terms.
We are delighted to welcome new class members anytime. New members who are interested in joining CÓRus may wish to call the office (087 967 6351 or 087 6139 261) to make further enquiries about availability in our classes.
